Application Development
Web design, content management, enterprise portals, and web services as one engagement.
Digital Qubits designs and builds web applications, content sites, enterprise portals, and the web services behind them as one engagement. The page and the system it calls are the same project. We do not hand you a front end that still needs a separate effort to reach the data.
The work starts with the job the application has to do and the people who will do it. A public site that explains a service is not an employee portal, and a portal is not a partner exchange. We write down the audience, the tasks, and what must stay in your team’s hands after launch. Content management is included where your staff should publish without a developer. The things that should not be casual edits stay in code, with a path to change them on purpose.
Enterprise portals earn their place when people stop hunting through inboxes and shared drives for the same action. One place to start a request, see a status, or reach a record is the result we design toward. That only works if the portal is connected to the systems around it. Web services are how that connection is made: a clear contract, an owner, and a failure you can see, rather than a nightly file nobody notices when it stops. We build those services with the same care as the screen, because the screen is only as honest as the data behind it.
The build follows the path used across the practice. Requirements come first. A prototype makes the trade-offs visible before the full build. Engineers work in short iterations, with you close to the decisions. Testing is done with the people who will use the application, on the tasks they actually have, not on a script written to pass. Deployment includes a checklist and training for the people who will update what is theirs to update.
After launch we stay. Questions in the first weeks are about real content, permissions, and the integration that behaved differently under load. You are still talking to the people who wrote it. When the application should pass to your team, the handoff includes the notes required to run it.
If you need a site, a portal, or a service that connects them, send a short description of the audience and the job. We reply within one business day and propose scope only after we have understood the work.
// What's included
One engagement, from the page to the service behind it.
- 01Web design shaped to the audience and the job the site or app has to do
- 02Content management so your team can update what should stay in your hands
- 03Enterprise portals that give people one place to do the work
- 04Web services that connect the portal to the systems around it
// How the work runs
From the first conversation through support.
When we deliver the work, every engagement follows the same path.
- 01
Gather requirements
We start by listening: goals, constraints, the systems you have, and what a useful result looks like.
- 02
Design and prototype
We shape the approach early and prototype so the trade-offs are visible before the full build.
- 03
Build
Hands-on engineers do the work in short iterations, with you close to the decisions.
- 04
Test
Requirements are tested against real user expectations early, not only at the end.
- 05
Deploy
We plan the cutover, train the people who will use what we built, and go live with a checklist.
- 06
Support
After go-live you still work with the people who did the work, for questions and stabilization.
